Not Sure About GMOs? Bill Nye Will Walk You Through It

Ahh, the GMO debate. Quite the debate, isn’t it? It’s easily one of my least favorite debates to sit and listen to. People in favor of GMOs talk about how there are some studies that show them to be harmless, and how they could unlock a better future for food-insecure locations! People opposed to the use of GMO crops say that there are many studies that show the harmful impacts of growing and consuming genetically modified crops, and foods containing GMO ingredients. At the end of the day, I stand opposed to it because it puts the ownership of all food in a few hands, clenching the totalitarian fist over our current food system.

One thing both sides agree on is that there’s a lot more research still to do, and it’s hard to conclude much without any complete long term studies. But Bill Nye is here to break it down in such a way I think most people will be able to understand. Enjoy.
